Summer Market

Local Market at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne every Monday July & August on the banks of the Dordogne from 5pm to 8pm. Every fortnight tables, chairs and bbqs are available to taste and enjoy products from the market in a musical and festive atmosphere.

 

National Holiday - Bastille Day

On July 14th the musical association “Harmonie Beaulieu-Vayrac” organizes a market under the plane trees of the Place du Champ de Mars. In the evening there is a dance for everybody. Around 23.00, a torchlight procession with musicians leads people to the stadium where fireworks are set off.

 

August 15th Feast

Traditionally, this fair is linked to water; it is the Monturuc festival, the fair of the area around the Chapelle des Pénitants. Every year, there is a big fireworks display, set off on the DordogneRiverafter an illuminated display by the gabare and canoes. There is also a little fun fair.

On Assumption Day, the statue of the Virgin Mary, situated on the place de la Bridolle (near the abbey-church) is venerated. Villagers offer her some bunches of grapes that they hang on her hand or her child’s so as to protect the vine
 

Votive Feast "Les corps Saints"

Each year, on the first weekend of September, the Saints Prime and Felician are celebrated. They were two martyred brothers who granted the village a fountain - a miraculous spring spurted out from under the hoof of the mule which carried their relics. The mass is celebrated on Sunday morning, accompanied by the Harmonie Beaulieu-Vayrac and preceded by a procession to the Saints Prime and Felician fountain, which is situated on the side of the road on the edge of the village. On Sunday afternoon, the procession of flower-decked floats takes place surrounded by bands and street animations. Fireworks are set off on Saturday or on Sunday. There is also a big fun fair for 2 days, free dancing for everybody on Saturday and Sunday evenings, and a cycling race on Saturday evening called “les 100 tours de boulevard”.

The Walnut Route Walk

Each year the last Sunday of September the tourist board organises a 28km walk. Demonstrations and food sampling associated with walnuts
